BCM Sensor Technologies presents Model 115C capacitive sensor for differential pressure measurements. It uses the BCM metal capacitor technology. The sensing element comprises of two stationary capacitor plates and one portable sensing diaphragm. The sensing diaphragm is positioned in the middle of two capacitor plates. Along with each capacitor plate, two distinct chambers are created. The entire sensing element is covered in a 316L stainless steel housing. The housing is full of silicone oil.
This filling oil serves as a medium for transferring measured pressures to the sensing element from two isolating diaphragms. These diaphragms are also made of 316L stainless steel. In case of a difference in these two pressures, the sensing plate is forced to go near one of the capacitor plates. Consequently, using the capacitance change between the two capacitor plates and the sensing plate, electrical output signal can be produced.
Model 115C can handle differential pressure ranges between 0~15 mbar to 0~68.9 bar and gauge pressure between 0~75 mbar to ~413.7 bar.
