Unlike some other process refractometers that rely on conventional °Brix temperature compensation, the PRH-DEF32 measures the temperature of the product in the line and by way of product specific user defined temperature compensation, accurately calculates the reading as if it had been taken at the required temperature of 20°C.
The instrument can be programmed to display the measured result in °Brix but most commonly, a direct readout of either refractive index (RI) or % concentration in accordance with BS ISO 22241-1 can be selected at point of sale or at installation using optional maintenance software. Readout is to two decimal place concentration or 5 decimals in RI.
