Belt Technologies manufactures a Low Inertia Pulley. With up to a 60% weight reduction of a normal pulley design the inertia required to start, stop or index a system is dramatically reduced. The pulley design incorporates the use of a thin stainless steel surface for reduced weight. Pulley ends are finished with stainless or aluminum caps depending upon the application. The ends may be machined to further reduce weight.
