Using the Bentley Hevacomp Electrical CAD package, systems can be set up as icons for switches, sockets, luminaires and other components. If required, cable routes can optionally be drawn, connecting icons. Conduit and trunking runs can be drawn and cables can be associated with these. A full 3D model of electrical systems is automatically maintained.
17th Edition calculations can be carried out using data from the CAD systems defined, using circuit reference icons and cables. A complete 17th Edition cable sizing is carried out, together with earth and short circuit fault analysis and discrimination checking. Full calculation reports and schedules can be produced to the screen and printer, and scheme DXF files can be exported.
