Degassing plants are needed for a great variety of tasks. Operational areas are thermal degassing plants for pre-treatment of boiler feed water as well as membrane degassing plants for the degassing of production water which has been previously desalinated or refill water for steam sterilisers. ELGA Berkefeld has had a great deal of experience in the building of thermal degassers with feed-water containers in lying or standing constructions. The conventional construction (degasser lying with degasser dome applied) belongs to the
standard equipment of almost every steam boiler plant. The installation of this kind of degassing plant is usually made on a supporting steel construction and therefore needs a correspondingly high ceiling in the boiler house. Accessories are among others condensation collection containers, automatic steam regulation taps, safety equipment, level measuring equipment and overflow regulators.
