BarPro
Beta LaserMike
designed to work with Beta LaserMike laser micrometers to provide
precise gauging, control, and SQC data collection for centerless
grinders and bar turners. With BarPro, you can reduce scrap,
increase productivity, and document your product quality.
The BarPro system uses Beta LaserMike’s non-contact diameter
gauges to continuously measure each item as it exits the grinder.
Measurement data is collected and displayed in large, high-visibility
characters that are color coded to indicate the status of the product.
A real-time run chart shows the recent measurement history for each
of the grinders.
The BarPro system also provides automatic grinder compensation.
The measured diameter is compared to user-defined limits and the
system automatically signals the grinder compensation when the part
diameter is too large (or too small if bi-directional compensation is
used). The grinder compensation controls adjust the regulating wheel
position to automatically maintain product within specification limits.
From one to four grinders (or bar turners) may be monitored and
controlled from a single PC.
