The BHS-Autopress can be used for separating even poor filtering suspensions efficiently in batch operation. The filter can be in-
corporated in a completely tight and enclosed process (GMP approved), thus easily complying with all requirements regarding sterility, explosion protection, workplace safety and validation capability.
The filter cake can undergo further treatment such as washing, extraction, pressing, blow-out and drying. The low cake thickness and complete heel-free filtration ensure extremely high throughput rates. A further benefit is the exceptionally low level of moisture in the filter cake. The highly efficient cake washing process per-
formed in the BHS-Autopress produces an absolutely pure product without intermixing.
