Saturation Level Indicator

The saturation indicator is an easy method to find out the state of saturation of an activated carbon bed.

The indicator is made of a transparent tube which holds a special pellet. When this pellet is new it is a bright purple colour, but it changes into brown when it detects contaminants (SH2)

When the pellet has become completely brown, that means that the carbon that is placed below the indicator is exhausted.

We can locate several indicators along the bed. This way we will know the state of saturation of the carbon at different levels and will be able to anticipate its replacement.
