The Monair 5 is a bench mounted miniature fume cupboard providing operator protection when using hazardous chemicals. This is a small bench mounted unit ideal for using or weighing small amounts of chemicals. Lighting is at the rear of the unit giving full illumination of the work surface, and a polypropylene spillage tray can be fitted as an option.

A face velocity of >0.5m/s ensures containment of fumes or particulates for operator protection. A visual alarm will alert the operator if the airflow falls to an unacceptable level.

This compact unit can be moved to point of use and installed over existing work surfaces without the need for ducting. A filter clamping mechanism allows easy loading of the filter and ensures an even seal at the filter face at all times. A valuable safety feature is that the filter can be changed with no operator contact using a special bag supplied with the new filter.
