Silicone tubes and hoses are suitable for electncal insulation as well as for passing liquids or other media. As they are chemically extremely stable, the hoses can be used as seals in contact with many acids or alkalis, as well as for passing through hot air at continuously temperatures of + 180 °C to +300 °C. In contrast to other synthetic materials and rubbers such as PVC and EPDM, silicone tubes and hoses, supplied transparent or coloured, do not break or show any signs of fatigue, even under extreme thermal and mechanical stress. When used for medical applications or for usages which come into contact with food, the particular advantages of silicone rubbers, of not containing any softeners or heavy metals, come to the fore: our standard extrusion products do not pose any physiological or toxicological threat of any kind, and furthermore can be sterilised.
