Knurling tool
ø 3 - 100 mm | B series BÖNI

Böni Knurling Tools function in a fundamentally different way than conventional knurling tools. The knurling wheels machine the workpiece tangentially 180° on opposite sides, so that there is no pressure on the work and cross ball-bearing spindles. The operating forces occurring are absorbed by the knurling tool, regardless of whether it is cutting or rolling. Depending on the quality of the material, we are able to cut or roll the knurl with the same tool.

These knurling tools are used for CNC- and conventional lathes. Knurls can be made by rolling or cutting. Depending on the type of knurl desired, optional sets of drivers for 0° straight or 0° straight-corner (DIN 82 RAA), 30° diamond (DIN 82 RGE) and 45° cross knurls with the same base are available. The cutting and rolling wheels are shaft-mounted in a needle roller bearing. These tools can be supplied with a standard square shank, or with special carriers. The Type B65 knurling tool is available for two ranges of knurls: Ø3 - 42mm and Ø20 - 65mm. The Type B100 knurling tool is available for the range Ø60 - 100mm.
