Description

The Turbo Card has been a feature of the Bonino range for several decades. Designed to process natural fibres and blends of natural fibres with PP and PES, this machine is being successfully used in a wide range of different industry sectors. Applications include automotive, sound and heat insulation, filtration, garments and furnishings, feminine hygiene and sanitary products, blankets and many other areas utilising a wide range of fibre types including cotton and other natural fibres, man-made fibres, fibre glass and special fibres. The aerodynamic web formation offers many advantages when compared to traditional nonwoven production by means of card and crosslapper. Benefits include smaller capital investment, less space required, better MC:DC ration and a three dimensional fibre distribution. For these reasons the Turbo Card is considered the State of the Art in technology for nonwoven production. The turbo card can be supplied with hopper feeder with spiked apron and vibrating chute or with a gravity chute feeder. High uniformity of the carded web is ensured by a fibre weight control system, which is installed between the hopper and the card inlet. The con guration of carding elements within the machine can be customised according to customer needs, with a choice of work/stripper combinations and cardmasters, Bonino's long experience can assist in the determination of the correct con guration to provide the optimum balance between carding power and blending capacity. In most cases the web is formed onto a sieve lattice. However, in the case of dusty material, the web can be condensed onto a sieve drum.
