The module recovers a great part of the heat quantity contained in the hot waste water of a boiler system. The water under pressure is expanded in the expansion tank. The expansion steam generated during that process is used for heating the feed water tank. The system preheats the make-up water of the boiler system and cools the waste water down to a temperature of approx. 35°C in the downstream heat exchanger. This increases the system efficiency. Fuel, cooling water and waste water costs can be reduced.
