Concept:
To prevent boiler scale, the operation of boiler
plants is only permitted with soft feed water. The
recommendations for water properties limit the
permissible total hardness for various boiler types
and operating modes.
Operational characteristics
For water softening, raw water is filtered and
make-up water is generated in the ion exchange
process. The hardening formers - calcium and
magnesium ions - are replaced by sodium ions.

the boiler heat-transfer surface. Good heat
transfer, excellent economy and long service life
of the boiler are not affected by scale deposits.
Expensive water-side cleaning with disposal
problems or even boiler repairs during shutdown

%u2022 fully automatic versions reduce operating costs
and exclude faulty operation. Dual plants allow
continuous operation and an increased utilization
of the capacity at constant raw water
hardness.
%u2022 the quality-governed construction makes it possible
to dispense with external hardness monitoring,
e.g. for unsupervised operation up to 72 h
and increased use of the capacity even with
fluctuating raw water hardness.
