Hägglunds pressure limiting valves are used in highly dynamic systems, for example in applications with heavy loads. They were developed especially for shredders and winches, but are also used in applications with overrunning loads.
Connected between the oil inlets and outlets, the valves protect the motor by enabling the drive system to handle an overload. They function from high pressure to low and are generally double-sided, which allows them to be used in both open and closed hydraulic systems.
One model, containing an integrated purge circuit, is specifically adapted for closed systems.
