Plastic ball bearings are ideal for installation in all hostile environments where aggressive media, alkalis, acids, vapors or even water could come into contact with the bearings, and where steel ball bearings would prematurely fail due to corrosion. However, due to the physical limitations of plastic materials, plastic ball bearings cannot attain the rotational speeds, ambient temperatures and load capacities offered by steel rolling bearings.
On the other hand, the excellent chemical resistance of plastic deepgroove ball bearings opens up a host of other applications.
