Bulk solids flow meter using Coriolis force measurement
The Working Principle
Bulk material supplied from above passes a constant speed impeller wheel driven by a three-phase current motor, diverting the material radially. The tangential Coriolis forceacting on the wheel blades causes drive torque changes in proportion to the flow rate sensed by a load cell. Based on torque and speed, the microcomputer Congrav® computes the current flow rate, which is both displayed and issued as a signal for recording or control of an upstream variable speed feeder (e. g. screw feeder, rotary valve, etc.).
