Bühler Leybold Optics’ high-vacuum evaporation technology and know-how is now available in a very compact space-saving design dedicated to ophthalmic optics applications. The LEYBOLD OPTICS MCS coater is a highly advanced coating machine that perfectly matches the production requirements for smallest batch sizes in anti-reflection (AR) eyeglass coating. This coating machine broadens the Bühler Leybold Optics product range to meet the current market requirements for low-volume production.
Space-saving super compact design
To make the commonly used evaporation technology available even for the lowest production volumes, the LEYBOLD OPTICS MCS coater has been created with a focus not only on producing high quality AR coatings, but also with an emphasis on a very compact machine footprint. This has resulted in the LEYBOLD OPTICS MCS requiring less than 1 m² in terms of floor space, making it ideal not only for low-volume production labs, but for all lab sizes.

Despite its compact design, the LEYBOLD OPTICS MCS coater includes the latest Bühler Leybold Optics technology which guarantees highest quality to meet all of the market requirements for modern coatings. This coater utilizes high quality key components such as electron-beam guns, in-chamber hydrophobic coatings and a turbo pumping system arrangement, all complemented by intelligent software tools.
