Comtex 2000

A new concept for packing returned mail order products

The Comtex machine is fully automatic in operation and uses centre folded film producing a bag which is sealed on 3 sides. The machine is formatted inline and is controlled by means of light barriers. Many different products within the bounds of the sealing area can be randomly packed.

The products can vary in length, width and height and can be presented to the machine in a random format. In its home position the machine is adjustable to the maximum possible bag width. Dependent upon the product width, a film overhang is produced which is sealed and cut off in the side trim sealing station. By means of scanning the length of the product during the packaging process, a neat close profiled bag is produced.

The product is ready for storage and despatch and can be returned into the main system. This system is widely used and originates from mail order textile companies, who often are using this system for returned goods.

The use of coloured films allows the customer the opportunity to use standard postal systems, it is also possible to pack other products like books, magazines with promotional products onserted.
