Lying flush in the floor, the tracks allow the boom to swing away from the door in a slewing movement - shown here - so that forklift traffic can access the door. Alternatively, you can save costs by fitting tracks parallel to the door - allowing a single boom to serve multiple doors, by simply traversing along the tracks at the press of a button.
