Horizontal end load cartoner (automatic intermittent motion)
25 - 150 p/min | PMX CAM

The compact design and the positioning of the carton magazine by the operator side, ensure easy feed of the packaging materials.

The cantilever structure (fig. 1) and the separation of the mechanical section from the packaging area, simplify cleaning and inspection of the machine upon batch change-over.

The patented erection system (fig. 2), by means of articulated twin blade, ensures the erection of the carton of any shape, even square section, and made out of low grammage board. The blade acting from the inside of the carton, makes positive pre-breaking of the fibres.

A moveable hopper (fig. 3) inserted into the carton to lead the product during the transfer phase, guarantees a perfect introduction of any type of product even if of irregular shape and size.

The cartons are conveyed by means of two twin chains that may be adjusted with appropriate teeth easy to be replaced.

CAM has recently developed and patented a new carton closure system (fig. 4), that grants the possibility of: carrying out format change without requiring the services of a specialized technician; eliminating fine tuning time related to the closure area; and absolute quality consistency of the final package.

The cartoner model PMX may be equipped with a full range of feeders and additional units such as coders, leaflet/booklet feeders, detection, control and reject systems, etc.).

The PMX is equipped with the Mechanical Memory®, Prestige of all CAM machines, that makes it possible also for unskilled personnel to carry-out format change-over operations quickly and safely.
