The oldham coupling is the newest in the coupling family and is similar in design to the Jaws and Disc couplings. This unit consists of three pieces: two hubs and one center disk made of plastic. The centerpiece is press-fitted to eliminate backlash and also designed to act as a mechanical fuse. The disc slides to accommodate large parallel misalignment. The shaft attached to the hubs must be supported to take full advantage of this unit.

* Choose plastic or metallic center disk for your specific application
* Press fit = zero backlash
* Center disk slides to accommodate slight misalignment
* Functions with large parallel misalignment of .025-.100, angular misalignment of .5 degree and axial misalignment of .005
* Shafts attached to the hubs must be supported
