For some specific applications such as the production of discontinuously moulded blocks, Cannon have developed some special high output low pressure machines. Moulding block technology requires the pouring of large quantities of material within a very short time. The main applications are in the furniture, automotive and insulation industries.

Another typical applications is found in the production of flexible foam blocks which are then cut to make mattresses. In the automotive field, high output machines are used to foam semi-rigid foam blocks for the production of headliners. Other applications relate to the production of rigid low density foams for insulating panels, compact filled blends (typically glass micro-spheres) for "off shore" piping insulation and medium density rigid blocks to be tooled to produce many kinds of models.

These dosing units are PLC controlled and are available in three different basic models, C300, B300 and B500 (covering an output range from 40 up to 500 kg/min) all equipped with large gear pumps. Other special versions can be produced, with different pumping solutions, according to specific requirements or applications, such as for screw pumps.

Two different sizes of Cannon Mixing Heads are available with different mixers operating electrically or hydraulically. These machines are also available in the loop version with the closed loop control using mass flowmeters.
