The name says it all. The GORing is a turning centre which has been specially developed for turning rings (wedding rings and jewellery rings). The highest demands are placed on surface qualities. For example using diamond tools, shiny surfaces can be achieved even during turning. The machine series GORing is available in two variants: The GORing-R2 turns rings completely from the blank. An automatic loading and unloading device coupled with a high number of turning tools, a rotary table (B-axis), milling spindles and many other equipment details make the GORing-R2 a highly productive and flexible turning centre for rings. The machine GORing-R3 does not produce the rings from the blank but from bar or tube. Here too, the highest demands are met for the surface qualities achieved and for a high level of automation. The GORing-R3 can also be combined with a VDI-25 tool turret for live tools. In combination with an optional Y-axis the setup effort of the diamond tools can be reduced significantly because the centre height of the tools can be easily adjusted via the NC-axis. Using specially developed, parameterised CNC programs coupled with special user interfaces, these machines can be programmed and operated easily and intuitively.
