Description

Rectangular Tooling Plates – Modular, Standard 1/2" (16" x 20") * Modular Fixturing Ideal modular tooling plates for vertical machining centers, incorporating our Standard (1/2-13) modular system. Cast iron material provides superior accuracy, dimensional stability, and vibration dampening. Finish machined to tight tolerances, with a grid of multipurpose holes spaced at 2.0000" within .0008" of true position. These Rectangular Tooling Plates can be accurately connected to create many length and width combinations. Plates can be mounted either lengthwise or widthwise. The length of each plate is equal to the width of the next-larger size, allowing many possible combinations by turning plates 90°. The 16" x 20" size is shown here. For large machine tables, connect two or more plates to form a single baseplate, using Locating Gages as shown above to maintain accuracy. Gages are removed once plates are fastened to the machine table. Two sets of Locating-Key holes allow mounting plates either lengthwise or widthwise on a machine table. The length of each Rectangular Tooling Plates is the same as the width of the next-larger size, allowing many possible combinations by turning plates 90°. Each multipurpose hole on a Standard System MF40 tooling plate or block has a 1/2" ID bushing on top with a 1/2-13 threaded insert below it. Multipurpose holes are located in a precise 2.0000" grid pattern, spaced within ±.0008 inches of true position. Locating Screws, with a precision ground shoulder, are used to locate and fasten at the same time.
