Caterpillar's new diesel-fueled generator sets with ACERT™ Technology. With rating ranges of 225 ekW - 275 ekW and 250 ekW - 300 ekW, the new generator set is the first EPA Tier 3 certified generator set to be offered in the North American marketplace.
The generator set is designed primarily for standby, prime and load management applications. It offers the latest in engine design technology to provide emissions compliance without sacrificing power density or fuel economy. Operating at 60 Hz, the clean diesel generator set is powered by the new 8.8-liter Cat® C9 engine.
An ADEMTM A4 controller, HEUI™ fuel system and cross-flow cylinder heads comprise the building blocks of ACERT Technology. The generator set offers an Air-To-Air After Cooler (ATAAC) cooling system, an advanced EMCP 3 control system, multiple control panel and power connection location options, and enhanced package-mounted circuit breaker options. It features a brushless, self-excited generator with Class H insulation.
