Motorized cable reel Cavotec

For more than 35 years Cavotec Specimas has been involved in the development and manufactoring of motorised cable reels for horizontal and vertical applications, both for continuous and intermittent duty. Cavotec Specimas uses different driving systems for different applications and sizes. The range includes the Hydrodynamic system, the Torque motor, the Permanent Magnet Clutches, the Electromagnetic Clutches and, for the largest reels, the Direct Torque Control. In 1977 Cavotec Specimas introduced the "Pull and Store" system to solve the problem of cable overtension in high installations, adopted in thousands of installations.
