Instrument for determining the Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT), and Vicat Softening Point (Vicat) for thermoplastic materials. The test specimens are heated using a circulating oil bath that can be used up to 300°C. The instrument has three independent working stations, each with its own linear LVDT transducer. Each station is equipped with a thermocouple to record the local temperature.
