demands of the market lead to the development of the
series V, presented here, based on the well approved
CENTAFLEX-A rubber element.
Construction and effect of the CENTASTART series V
A cylindrical highly elastic rubber element3" is connected
to the driving hub21 of the driving flange:) by a set of bolts.
Usually the rubber element is mounted under precompres-
sion and thus gains its full performance capability. Several
centrifugal weights4' are mounted to this rubber element.
In addition they are connected to each other with tension
springs5' and covered with wear resistant and heat resist-
ant friction linings65.
During idling the tension springs work against the cen-
trifugal forces and they determine the idling speed of the
CENTASTART-V coupling.
