The Thermal Deaerator contains two bodies. In the upper one the deaeration is carried out and in the lower one the deaerated water is stored.

The upper body or deaerator head, is built in Stainless Steel AISI-304. has two zones for deaeration and a device for incondensables purge.

The water to deaerate "Condensed, treated water and return of condensed" is introduced in the deaerator head by its upper zone, through a spray, that fragments the water inside the deaerator. The water reaches quickly the temperature of service, and is carried out the first deaeration, where most of the oxygen has been eliminated.

Subsequently the water passes to the second deaeration zone of the upper body, the mixture chamber. This chamber, AISI-304 Stainless steel made, has two concentric bodies. The interior is perforated to permit the steam pass that in ascent toward the deaerator head has a second contact with the deaerated water, that goes down, crosscurrent. This water suffers an energetic wash by this steam that bubbles and reduce even more the content in uncondesable gases. Finally the deaerated water is stored in the lower body.
