Spherical plain bearing CEROBEAR GmbH
CEROBEAR hybrid spherical bearings offer a low-play and low-friction bearing for highly stressed, three-dimensional mobile joints.
The inner ring of a hybrid spherical bearing can be made of the high-performance ceramic materials silicon nitride (Si3N4) or zirconia (ZrO2). Various stainless aviation steels are used for the outer ring.
The material combination ceramic/steel means that no liner is needed for the sliding contact surfaces, thus producing unbeatable stiffness with minimum friction.
CEROBEAR hybrid spherical bearings are characterized by the following properties:
■ low friction
■ extreme stiffness
■ minimum radial play
■ high load-bearing capacity
■ low wear
■ reduced weight
■ suitable for starved lubrication and dry running
■ prolonged service life
CEROBEAR hybrid spherical bearings are available in standard series or in customized designs for your particular application case.
