Product Overview
The USP Smart Controllers is a range of fixed I/O point RTUs offering a fully functional RTU when space is at a premium. They range from the USP-010 with 16 digital inputs, 8 digital outputs and 3 serial communication ports to the USP-030 with Ethernet and serial interfaces, direct AC measurement, directional fault detection and integrated communication options. The Smart Controller supports a wide range of industry standard protocols, both serial and ethernet, including IEC104/101/103 and DNP3. The unit supports IEC 61131 user defined applications in addition to a range of intelligent adaptive automation and restoration algorithms for self-healing distribution networks and other application specific algorithms. The unit supports a range of integrated communications modules including radio modems, GPRS and ethernet modules. The units are certified for operation in substation environments and offer 1mS time stamping accuracy on inputs as standard.
