Description
CG presents dry type MV current and voltage transformers. CG started making polycrete CTs & VTs in 1994-95. In the year 1995, it patented polycrete application for electrical appliances. From that time, it has manufactured over 50000 products and supplied to Indian and international consumers. The polycrete CTs & VTs are made in the 11kV to 33kV range.
Polycrete stands for polymer concrete and has excellent insulation properties. Polycrete comprises of polyester resin, silica flour and other chemicals employed as binders. The parts are mixed under vacuum to get void free castings. Polycrete is hydrophobic, which makes it suitable for outdoor uses.
The polycrete electrical application is a result of extensive research and samples and products validation at CG's global R&D Centre based in Kanjur Marg , Mumbai.
