The inner pipe works as a mechanical motor that drives the bit during the bore; the outer pipe thrusts the bit forward and steers the drill shaft. During backreaming, the outer pipe transmits full machine torque downhole. The Ditch Witch All Terrain technology enables rock drilling with very low fluid flow. Less fluid volume means less waste, less cleanup and less environmental impact.
