The C.A 6549 is a top of the line unit designed by chauvin-arnoux. It features 4 fixed test voltages such as 500 / 1,000 / 2,500 and 5,000V and an adjustable test voltage position of 40 to 5,100V in 10V or 100V increments. It has a programmable test length and R(t) measurement curve displayed directly on the screen that has an indication of measurement t° after measurement, resistance recalculated to reference temperature for reliable and accurate insulation monitoring. The C.A 6549 was designed primarily to perform voltage locking tests and was also built with programmable alarms. It also has the ability to record thousands of measurements. It comes with a RS 232 connector for connection to PC or very compact serial printer and a rechargeable NiMH battery.
