The technology is similar to the SMS™ 100mm version. The SMS™ system was initially developed for medical analysis laboratories, to reduce the cost of blood tests. To ensure that the process gives reliable results, it must be possible for each blood sample to be routed individually, be identified, move quickly from one device or person to another, and keep to a planning sheet that will evolve in line with results. This SMS™ technology was adapted and integrated into the microtechnology and watchmaking sector early in the year 2000. Since then, SMS™ has evolved steadily, to include various devices aimed at facilitating component handling.
