CMP Products Hazardous Area Cable Glands for Armoured and Unarmoured Cables are Dual Certified, Flameproof (Type 'd') and Increased Safety (Type 'e') for indoor and outdoor situations. They comply with the demanding BS 6121:Part 1:1989 requirements and are approved in accordance with the ATEX 94/9/EC Directive (ATEX 95). Protection is provided in Explosive Gas, Vapour and Dust Atmospheres, with these cable glands classified as Category 2 equipment, suitable for use in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 Hazardous Areas.

Armoured Cable Glands are supplied in Single and Double Seal varieties, suitable for all types of Single Wire Armour (SWA), including Steel & Aluminium Wire Armour, Tape Armour, including Steel Tape and Double Steel Tape, and Wire Braid cables including Galvanised Steel, Bronze, and Copper Wire Braid. CMP also offers standard solutions equipped to handle a range of cables fitted with additional Lead Sheath for use in direct burial situations where the spillage of hydrocarbons could otherwise put the critical cable installations at risk.

Unarmoured Cable Glands are supplied in Single and Double Seal varieties, suitable for all types of Unarmoured Cables including Low Smoke Zero Halogen, PVC and Plastic Insulated, EPR / Rubber, and Lead Sheathed cables.
