Production of standard case-hardened and ground gears with straight and helical toothing starting from module M0.5 for 10 mm up to module M14 for an 800 mm diameter. Gear cutting machines for straight bevel gears and grinding machines for small production series. Production of custom reducing gears. Main features The materials used to manufactures the gears are, in order of importance: steel, cast iron, bronze and at times light alloys (for toothing with a low level of stress). Steel gears can be manufactured with hardened and tempered materials (140-400 Brinell) which are processed without altering the level of final hardness, or with case-hardened toothing, processed before the thermal treatment, including those to be subjected to induction hardening. Case-hardened gears are suitable for heavy work applications where the materials used are nickel, nickel–chrome, and nickel-chrome-molybdenum alloy steels as they are subject to distortion.
