The Tornado T8MSY has a Y-axis for highly efficient 'off centre line' milling, retaining the same advanced specifications of the Tornado T8M.
The remarkable seven-axis Tornado T8MSY, with full Y-axis capability, allows accurate 'off centre line' milling (± 40mm maximum) for precision machining of keyways and flat or contoured surfaces.
The T8MSY has a swing over bed of 510mm, giving a maximum turned length of 490mm and maximum turned diameter of 290mm.
This exciting addition to the Colchester-Harrison range is a true multi-axis turning centre featuring a main spindle drive of 22kW and 12 all driven tooling stations and an rpm of 5000. The addition of a powerful sub-spindle allows you to enjoy the full benefits of "single-hit" machining. By transferring the component to the second spindle, additional tuning and milling can be completed to finish the job in a "single hit".
