CTNA 50 B is a shuttle tool changer system that , compared to the shuttle tool changers on the market nowadays, Colombo Filippetti Torino has technically improved it allowing to optimize the tool changing time and by simplifying its management.

It is composed of a steel guide with hardened rolling tracks, usually quarter bend shaped, on which the shuttle with the tool changer slides, moved by a servomotor checked by an encoder.

The cycle exchange is made by using a normal cam exchanger CUT 50, that carries out the exchange cycle composed of three phases, extraction, 180° rotation and tool insertion, operated by one self braking motor only.

The tool exchanger is pivoted in a fulcrum and it can turn over at 90° in order to exchange the tool with spindle both vertical and horizontal. A self-braking gear motor, using a linkage system controls the exchange turnover.

The gripper arm is mechanically driven and shutters automatically inserted when the tool is taken out of the spindle.

The CTNA 50 B system is completed by different types of magazines, ring or annular and different tool numbers, according to production demands.

The main characteristic is that no hydraulic device is used, obtaining extraordinary results, noiseless, cleaner and much more reliable system.
