Principle of a Band Dryer:
The product to be processed will be distributed in an uniform layer on the band conveyor by means of a suitable feeder i.e. oscillating spreader, vibrating distributor, extruder, spreading screw, etc.
The band passes through a tunnel constituted by modular compartments with individual heating and air circulation system.
Drying air is blown whether downward or upward or in a combined pattern to get a homogeneous drying of the product.
Possibility of various process by operation on following parameters:
- residence time: variable band velocity,
- operating temperature adjustment in each zone,
- cooling down of product after transfer in the drying area,
- adjustment of the process gas velocity.
