The Power & Free system concept is simple:
The system is made up of a lower rail and an upper rail, in which a conveyor chain runs.The lower rail holds the trolley that is pulled by the chain. The object to be transported can be disconnected from the chain, at which point various operations can be performed. Although the power chain runs continuously, a discontinuous material flow is possible - with adjustable cycle speeds and custom specifications for target and time controls.
The control system is an important part of integrated material flow systems. A central control point manages and monitors operations, such as complex automatic transport systems. Every trolley can be equipped with a data carrier that is read electronically. This allows every trolley to be localized at any system location.
