It is the interface board of the PCI bus conformity which expands the RS-232C serial communication port of eight channels in a personal computer. UART 162850 which has the FIFO buffer of 128 bytes of 128 bytes of transmission / reception in each channel is carried. It can be used as a Windows and standard COM port for Linux by the setup by the attached standard COM driver. A program is also possible at a Win32 API communication function or MSComm. * 9 pin / 25 pin D-SUB connector distribution cable option

- Maximum communication speed = 921,600bps.
- The baud rate can be set independently for each channel, by software.
- Each channel is equipped with separate 128-byte FIFO buffers for transmit and receive.
- A maximum of 16 boards can be installed as configured in the range COM1 - COM256.
- Driver software is supplied to allow the serial ports to be used as standard Windows or Linux COM ports.
- The boards use the same easy-to-use 9-pin D-SUB connectors as are used on a PC.
