CPS Series speed sensors are suitable for generating speed dependent signals when using with a pole steel gear wheel, such as flywheel, preferably with involute gear form. The sensor element is a magnetically biased differential Hall sensor followed by a short-circuit proof amplifier. The sensor characteristic is not rotationally symmetrical.
