Barrier Polarization - Dielectric barrier prevents mismating...used in most rack-and-panel or module interconnections.
Barrier Polarization with Keyed Shells - Similar to barrier type with addition of aluminum shell on both plug and receptacle. Shell is keyed to prevent accidental mismating of several connectors mounted on the same panel. 26-41XX connectors have plug (male) insert in receptacle (female) inserts in plug shell.
