The principal of the short immersed pump-system (KTP) has been proven for more than 30 years, especially in storage tank facilities for solvents, LPG and bromine applications.
Typical applications are found in the transfer of chlorinated and fluorinated hydrocarbons, propylene and other aggressive, poisonous and light-density liquid. The short immersed pump system consist of a vertical cantilever pump, without line shaft bearings, installed in its own priming tank and an ejector mounted at the lowest point of the main storage tank. A partial stream is taken from the discharge pipe of the KTP and feeds the ejector, which in turn delivers process liquid from the storage tank to the pump's priming tank.
With this system we can achieve a priming head of up to 30 m. This system is also used in installations with very low NPSH available. Similar system can be offered utilising a sealles magnetic drive pump.
