CPS CASE PACKING SYSTEMS
The system provides for automatic positioning and filling of bags into pallet boxes or containers in programmable patterns. Two vertical conveyor belts (a CPS patent) assure the correct centring of the bags before they reach the bag turning unit. The turning unit consists of two conveyor belts in parallel that run at variable speeds. After going through the turning unit the bags are presented, turned or not, to the collection belt. On this frequency controlled collection belt, a preset number of bags (controlled by menu setting) can be accumulated (with or without partial overlap). The bag formation is then presented to a conveyor belt on which the bags are pushed by a squared lift over unit.
The infeed conveyor belt is equipped with sideways moving pusher plates which lift the sleeves of the bags slightly. After that a retract conveyor which is fitted underneath ensures the perfect positioning of the bags into the stand by cassette chamber.
In the cassette of the CL 86 the bag formation is placed on two Intralox belt sections which are moveable sideways.
The cassette with closed belt sections moves down into the container. On arrival at the deposit position, the belt sections are withdrawn sideways thus creating the opening for the bag formation to be laid down.
The CL 86 system is equipped with a smart exchange unit for containers and pallet boxes.
The CL 86 is completely menu controlled for instant and easy setting of all pre-programmed bag and container sizes and packing patterns. The unit can handle up to 80 bags a minute.
