C. R. Onsrud created the 5-Axis S-Series CNC Router in order to increase cost effective existing 5-Axis CNC machining center solution. The S-Series CNC has a heat-treated, stress-relieved and normalized welded steel frame for unequaled weights, masses, rigidity, durability, feeds and speeds at this price point. The industry leading ANSYS FEA software designed this steel frame in order to ensure the most rigid design in its class. The S-Series is made for everyone who wants reduce the costs and increase the use of space. The S-Series is designed for those that don’t need the extra mass and rigidity of a bridge or the extra speed and flexibility of a twin table. The standard F122S comes with a 12 HP, 20,000 RPM spindle that can be optionally upgraded to a 15 HP, 22,000 RPM spindle. The compact 5- Axis spindle is perfect for trimming composite and fiberglass parts, along with custom mill work, mold making, or any other application where space may be limited but cut quality is essential.
