Nimbus is a Flameproof (Exd) infra-red flammable gas detector, which provides a cost effective solution for the protection of plant and personnel. It complies with standards world-wide and and is built to last in all manner of environmental conditions.

High reliability
Constructed using highly durable marine-grade alloy with a tough polyester coating
MTBF of 10 years
Detects gas with optical system obscured by up to 90%, 'dirty optics' warning is provided at 75% obscuration
IEC61508 SIL 2 compliant
Simple maintenance
Local status light which identifies up to 22 detector conditions
Simple calibration either remotely, or locally using a PC.
Flexible installation
Dual 4-20mA and RS-485 outputs ensure simple integration with new or existing installations.
Modbus serial link enables detectors to be multi-dropped, allowing addressable detectors to be controlled and interrogated remotely
