The compact alternative: Short stroke block cylinder series HSB The CyBlock block cylinder was especially developed for injection moulding cores in tool and mould manufacturing which require a safe holding with only a short mould release stroke. It is a compact alternative to the CyPull locking core pull cylinders and is functionally derived from the hydromechanical clamping element CyDim which is equipped with an integrated locking system like the CyPull cylinders. This locking system operates with positive lock and pre-load and corresponds with with the locking function of CyPull series HS. Compared with conventional block cylinders, the generated clamping force just before the reaching final stroke position is a multiple of the stroke force using the same system pressure. The three dimensional wedge system maintains the generated clamping force even when the hydraulic pressure is cut off. That guarantees highest operational security. Compared with the CyPull series the CyBlock has no separate piston, so it has a reduced retraction force. As standard two sizes are available (50 and 75 mm) which are equipped with inductive proximity switches for sensing of the locking condition. Individual solutions are possible on request.
